Nestled in the heart of Bahia, Itacaré is a beautiful spot in Bahia, not far from Ilhéus and just south of the Maraú Peninsula. The easiest way to get there is to fly to Ilhéus and take a car (rented or taxi/transfer) to Itacaré.

Located on the banks of the Rio de Contas, Itacaré is embraced by the ocean on one side, and the lush embrace of an untamed Atlantic Forest on the other.

Years ago, Itacaré was a hidden gem, known mainly to fishermen, surfers, and beach lovers. But as time went on, more and more people from all over Brazil started to discover its charm. Now, Itacaré has become a popular destination on the Cocoa Coast. While it's grown and become more lively with restaurants, shops, and bars, it still has quiet, untouched beaches that visitors love.
